Solstice. Tomorrow it will be winter again

Single digit readouts, windchill,

The banging of feet against a doorpost

Winter, with icicles low on the branches.

Ground crackling underfoot as you walk.

Before you All are Diamonds

Crystal bright, beautiful and dangerous.

A tree snap brings awareness.

A slide on encrusted snow frames glee and happiness unending.

A Day of Ice levels the playing field.

No powerlines aid you.

No all-terrain accosts your icy roadway

Sit on a riverbank and watch the water flow.

Dream of a day.

Lighten your load.

It’s winter.
